NCSA is the foundational level certification of NetApp. NetApp Certified Storage Associates have a basic understanding of NetApp storage systems and solutions. They understand the features and functions NetApp's storage OS, DATA ONTAP, and are able to perform basic administration of NetApp storage controllers running the Data ONTAP® operating system in NFS and Windows (CIFS) multi-protocol environments.
NCDA is the Professional level certification of NetApp. NetApp Certified Data Administrators have at least 6-12 months experience in performing in-depth support, administrative functions, and performance management for NetApp storage controllers running the Data ONTAP® operating system in NFS and Windows® (CIFS) multiprotocol environments. They also have detailed knowledge of High Availability controller configurations and NetApp's Data protection software.
NCIE is the Specialist level certification of NetApp. In order to apply for NCIE certification, you must first complete the NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) certification.
There are two certification paths with in NCIE. You can either choose the
NetApp Certified SAN Implementation Engineer
or
NetApp Certified Backup and Recovery Implementation Engineer
NetApp Certified SAN Implementation Engineers have proven skills in understanding customer storage requirements, implementing Fibre Channel and iSCSI SAN solutions.
NetApp Certified Backup and Recovery Implementation Engineers have proven understanding customer storage requirements, and implementing backup and recovery solutions.
